A Week of Competitive Comedy

Hey cool cats,

Should be a pretty fun week this week as I'm going to be in two shows that involve me possibly being humiliated which I'm sure will be hilarious.
On Tuesday you can catch me and seven other funny people doing stand up in an elimination format on Stand-Up Showdown at the Comedy Bar. Might be worth the trip only to hear the judge Mark Forward cuss me, causing the creation of a Tupac-Biggy type comedy beef for the next ten years.
Then on Thursday, I will be testing my comedy writing chops on a show I'm actually helping put together called Red Light, Green Light. This will feature scripts from Kristian Reimer (who is the show's co-creator along with myself) and Bob Kerr (who's the number one seed in my opinion and whose script will probably destroy us all). Come out to see whose pilot episode will win the night. Hope you can make it out!

Less than two weeks for the Secret Policeman's Ball!

Yes, I am a little too excited but the big show is less than two weeks away now and I hope to see you all there. That's right...all of you. I am a man of extremes.

This Week At Absolute Comedy and The Secret Policeman's Ball!

Hey everybody,

If you're in Toronto, come check me out at Absolute Comedy co-featuring with the lovely, the talented Mr. Perry Perlmutar. Just a heads up, the Friday show will only be a ten minute spot to accommodate the good people at Bite.ca who are putting together a show called Next to the Mic where yours truly will be doing ten minutes of material that he can't do anywhere else. Should be good times.

Also, this just in: I am putting together a benefit show for Amnesty International Canada this month at the Rivoli (see Travel section for details). It's going to be a killer line up so I hope you all can make it out.

My fellow Ottaweesians

That's right. Bytowner is so 1980s. I'll be in Ottawa to discuss this and other interesting stuff at Absolute Comedy this weekend. So if you're in the neighbourhood, check it out or perish at my hands.

London Calling

I know, it's lame but I couldn't think of another title line. Anyhoo, if you are in London Ontario this weekend come check me out at the Big Comedy Go To. In fact if you're in London, England come check out the festival as it'll totally be worth the flight. I'll be performing Fear of a Brown Planet as well as doing some tasty stand up (check Travel section for show dates and times).

Technical Difficulties Were Temporary

I had some web issues so I wasn't able to brag about my recent Debaters hitting the airwaves last Saturday/Monday but I can brag about this: I'll be opening for the lovely the talented Debra DiGiovanni this weekend at Absolute Comedy (late show Saturday) and I'll be doing a spot at the Alt Dot Comedy Lounge on Monday the 13th of April as part of the second round of showcases for the Just For Laughs Festival. Also, I just noticed that this posting has a lot of gratuitous linking.
