History: Deleted Scenes and Extras
This was my third one man show. It centered around history (which you probably guessed by the title), how it's taught, what we were taught and more specifcally what we weren't taught. I tried to do with history what I did for race in my first show."Nile Seguin’s History: Deleted Scenes and Extras. Seguin’s razor sharp yet good-natured observations about how the world works have made him a favourite with Fringe audiences (Fear of a Brown Planet) and CBC viewers (The Hour) alike." - The Mirror
"...tackles taboo subjects with an incisive wit and a hard slap of common sense...brilliant...his easy-going, confident and ultimately challenging persona will keep you thinking long after the chuckles stop." - The Hour (Montréal weekly magazine)
"The best and highest expressions of comedy have both righteous anger and befuddlement at humanity’s destructive failings as the subtext; Mr.Séguin’s chatty monologue has this behind his good natured delivery. A very funny show... I dig this show and I think you will too." - Indyish.com
"A charmer... he asks the questions most of us keep to ourselves." - Winnipeg Sun
"...rips apart what we thought we knew about the western world and re-arranges it with intelligence and irony...The show is smart, Nile Séguin is sweet, and you’ll leave with something to think about...Nile shines (his one-man game of broken telephone is a joy)...for intelligent entertainment this show is definitely a winner." - CBC
"...bravely taking on touchy subjects such as the Rwandan genocide, gun control and residential schools...if you like Jon Stewart, you'll probably like this guy." - Uptown
